Variegated Water Snowflake

Nymphoides geminata or Nymphoides variegata

Description:

Lily-like-aquatic plant with flowers that are 3/4 inches across, bright yellow, star-shaped, and "fringed". The foliage is 2 to 3 inches across and heart-shaped and green with bronze blotches. It is NOT a native plant to South Carolina.

Habitat:

Growing in a water garden at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, SC. This plant is NOT native to South Carolina.

Notes:

It's also called Yellow Snowflake, Water Fringe, and Entire Marshwort. It's a member of the Menyanthaceae Family.
