Blue-Eyed Sailor

Dynamine dyonis (Geyer, 1837).

Description:

Upperside of males is copper-green; female is black with white bands and patches. Underside of both sexes with 2 rounds, blue submarginal spots.

Habitat:

Tropical forest edges. They feed nectar from various composite flowers.

Notes:

I could have touched her how close I had it, her fearless brushing its wings.
