Native of the Himalayas from Nepal to Bhutan; north Bengal, Bihar, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh.
My grandfather brought me these fruits for me to see and photograph. Here is the flower of this fruit: [ http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/175... ]. He said that the fruit is great for teas. Also know (at least in Brazil) as: "Árvore-do-Dinheiro" ("Tree-of-Money"), "Árvore da Pataca" ("Tree Pataca"), "Bolsa do Pastor" ("Shepherd's Pocket"), "Flor-de-Abril" ("April Flower"), "Dilênia" ("Dillenia").
