Mantid Lacewing

Description:

12mm, Yellow green creature with wings like a lacewing and a form similar to a praying mantis.

Habitat:

Attracted to lights by my computer hunting small moths

Notes:

This specimen is half the length of the others I have seen so I assume they were different species

I had a similar experience. The Thread-legged bug was so little that it was only in photos that I was able to see the sucking proboscis, which meant it wasn't a Mantid lacewing. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/644...

Lol lori.tas I thought it was a fleck of mown grass and it was a real surprise to see this amazing thing in the monitor
