A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Tachyphonus coronatus
For identification, it is useful to pay attention to white under the male's wings; a red crest almost never visible. The male is black with a narrow red band on her head; the female is all brown. It measures about 18 cm.
It can be found in the south, southeast and center-west of Brazil in fruit trees on the edges or around forests.
