Description:

This is a small hummingbird , from middle elevations (700–1400 m) , resident from Costa Rica to western Ecuador. In Costa Rica and Panama it is seen in the Caribbean slopes. this specimen was seen in the area of Monteverde (pacific side of the continental divide )
