Black slug about two inches long and one half inch wide with leathery appearing skin and narrow beige longitudinal dorsal stripe.
Sub-montane dry tropical shrubland.
Spotted on a rock near the summit of Koko Crater, an ancient tuff cone on the south coast of Oahu. As detailed in the Wikipedia reference, this species is an intermediate host (vector) for the rat lungworm, a cause of eosinophilic meningoencephalitis.
