Xanthopimpla punctata
Xanthopimpla punctata (Fabricius, 1781), a yellow-colored wasp of family Ichneumonidae, subfamily Pimplinae, tribe Pimplini. The female of the species can be seen in this related spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/173.... Xanthopimpla Saussure, 1892 is the largest tropicopolitan genus of the subfamily Pimplinae (Ichneumonidae), with a total of 247 recognized species. Most species of Xanthopimpla occur in the Indo-Australian region and 135 species are known from the Oriental region; species richness is much lower in Africa and the Neotropics.
