Calopteron reticulatum
Orange and black striped beetle; the coloration (some think) resembles a wasp, therefore is avoided by predators. It's about 5/8" long, plus antennae. This beetle differs from Calopteron Discrepans in that the topmost black stripe gets thinner at the outer edge of the wing, whereas the discrepans' stays the same width from one side to the other.
This colorful dude caught my eye on a hydrangia leaf.
