Blister Beetle

Meloe impressus

Description:

Never seen a bug like this around here. Had a head like a carpenter ant large abdomen that tapered like it had a stinger. Maybe had short wings? Update, so the closest Easter Us variety I can find is Meloe impressus. According to the University of GA they're less common here than out west.

Habitat:

West Central Georgia
