Description:

They are slim fast flying birds with glossy blue back a white belly and reddish around the face.

Habitat:

All over South Africa in our summer, and migrate back to the northern hemisphere in our winter. They eat insects on the wing.

This is a white-throated swallow...barn swallows have a rusty red chin and throat
