Red-shouldered Hawk - juvenile

Bueto lineatus

Description:

medium sized raptor, with dark and light brown spots, and mixed colors.

Habitat:

backyard

Notes:

Possibly a falcon, if so might be a prairie. The colors just didn't seem right to be a merlin, or a red shouldered hawk. But if anyone can help ID this bird with me, that would be a huge help. Sorry about the bad picture quality.
