Spotting

Description:

The plant is small, and packed with branches- pendant and spreading. The stem leaves seem to be bluntly triangular, but can be more oblong than the provided stem leaf picture. Stem cortex is without spirals, and pores. The photosynthetic cells are clearly visible in the ventral surface of the leaf. Stem hyaline cells divided in distal half of leaf. Only one cell of one leaf surveyed, had fibrils. Branch leaf pores are large, many to few. The leaves don't seem to be clearly 5 ranked.

Habitat:

wet bog with many tussocks and few scattered conifers.

Notes:

In Group Acutifolia. Branch leaves tapered in middle. Stem leaves broadly triangular.
