Pink Dawn Virburnum

Viburnum bodnantense

Description:

Found this flowering shrub in several gardens in the same neighbourhood of Victoria, BC. They have a sweet fragrance, and I was told by someone that they bloom in Winter.

That is a common one, but I think it has a light pink bloom and this looks more like cherry to me. Since there were several in gardens, it is probably a popular local species. Photo of leaf ? would be helpful, but number of viburnums makes it hard to be sure. :)

I agree that this is a Viburnum of some sort. Many of the Asian species and cultivars are early bloomers and fragrant. My best guess is that this is:
Viburnum x bodnantense 'Dawn'

Looks like it is a viburnum. They can be quite fragrant and bloom in clusters. :)
