Description:

Herb to 1.2m tall, native to Central and South America is an environmental weed in northern Australia. Similar species include Stachytarpheta australis (which has light blue or white flowers) and Stachytarpheta cayennensis (which has a darker flower and less robust stem). Member of the Verbenaceae.
