Mountain Goat

Description:

Mountain goats can vary in fur and size, from brown fur to white, woolly fur. Also, some can be fat and quite large, while others can be skinny or slightly muscular. Because it lives in the Rocky Mountains, I am not sure if it would share it's environment with another species. The mountain has a symbiotic relationship with grasses and shrubs, as this is it's main diet. This type of symbiotic relationship is called commensalism. The mountain goat is specially designed to live in it's environment by it's small body, hoofs and horns. The cloven hooves they have that are spread out help them keep their balance. This animal reproduces through sexual reproduction. During mating season, males will fight each other with their horns for the right of mating with females.

Habitat:

This animal lives in the Rocky Mountains of Jasper, costal ranges of North America and Alaska. It is most often seen scaling deep, rocky ledges. It eats mainly grasses, sedges, herbs and shrubs. Mountain goats lives so close to the clouds that most predators or natural enemies such as wolves and cougars eat them.
