Malabar pit viper

Trimeresurus malabaricus

Description:

Mating pair of rare Orange morph female and Brown/green morph male. Very difficult to spot in the field as the colours completely camouflage the snakes in the dense vegetation.

Habitat:

Seen at Agumbe forest which lies in a rainforest region with a tropical climate, warm and humid. Under the Köppen system of climate classification Agumbe is a tropical monsoon climate.
