Pleopsidium flavum
A bright yellow crustose lichen that typically grows on vertical rocks at higher elevations.It's very eye catching when you find it. The cream colored lichen to the right is crab's eye lichen (Ochrolechia parella) and the red lichen is firedot lichen(Caloplaca luteominia). The white lichen that is above and left is still being studied.
Spotted on a rock outcrop above the Umtanum creek at about 1800 ft.

Thanks for commenting maplemoth662. The ridges above the Umtanum creek have a lot of basalt outcrops and are often loaded with many different kinds of lichens. Really fun to explore!
