African Bullfrog

Pyxicephalus adspersus

Description:

Olive green skin with an orange and cream throat and underside. A true amphibious giant of the sub-Sahara, the African bullfrog can grow to be 9"(23cm) or more. Semi-aquatic, burrowing in the soil during the dry season and emerging from the ground during the rainy season to breed and eat.

Habitat:

Sub-Sahara Africa. Wetlands, dry savannah, etc.
