A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
This plant was about 1 meter high, with prop and stilt roots. The leaves were 29 cm long, and 2 cm wide. The leaf arrangement was close to alternate, but was more subopposite, while the leaf venation was parallel. It was waxy and smooth with deeply creased veins. The margin was entire but sharp, and the leaf shape was linear. It had a smooth and thin stem.
This plant was found in Singapore in a secondary rainforest. It was next to another spotting that I made-- the Malay Apple.
The small pink petals on this plant have fallen from a different tree.
