Yes, as I understand it (I'm not a scientist or expert) These are just one of many Domestic Breeds of Ducks. Almost all domestic ducks are descendants from Mallards. So the scientific species is the same as Mallard, but with the subspecies name of domestica. And I don't believe scientifically there are names for individual breeds as they are considered the same species. (Like a Great Dane and a Toy Poodle are both Canis lupus familiaris (Canis lupus) being a Gray Wolf.
