They develop inside bromeliads. Although they eat other insects, including their own species, specialize in capturing spiders in their own webs. Clear wings and slim figure not called the attention of the spiders, so can them close enough. In a fast moving they remove the fat abdomen of the spiders, then sit and eat it leaving the rest of the body in cloth or fallen on the ground.-----------------------------Se desarrollan dentro de las bromelias. Aunque consumen otros insectos incluyendo su propia especie, se especializan en capturar arañas en sus propias telas. Las alas claras y la figura delgada no llaman la atención de las arañas, así se acercan lo suficiente. En un rápido movimiento remueven el abdomen gordo de las arañas, para luego posarse y comérselo dejando el resto del cuerpo en la tela o caído en el suelo.

These insects are usually found between Mexico and Brazil, in the humid forests of the lowlands. They can also be found in the upper part of the forest, mainly if it feels threatened.---------------------------------Estos insectos usualmente son encontrados entre México y Brasil, en los bosques húmedos de las tierras bajas. También se pueden encontrar en la parte alta del bosque, principalmente si se siente amenazado.
