Spathodea campanulata
The leaves of the African Tulip tree are simply pinnate, and they are about 30-40 cm long each. The leaf shape is ovate while the margins are entire. The arrangement is subopposite. The leaves on this tree are slightly hairy and shiny. The flowers are large and red. Fruit on this tree is long, about 20 cm. The have green pods, and when ripe, turn brown. The fruit is filled with lots of small seeds.
