Thanks for the info. I doubt I'd be able to recognize it without flowers, but if I do, I'll give it a try.

You may be familiar with the European variety, V. locusta, commonly known as mâche or lamb's lettuce here in the states. It is often an ingredient in spring mixes. The leaves are part consumed, and is often the case with many plants, they are best collected before flowering.
