Slow Worm

Anguis fragilis

Description:

A slow worm sunbathing on a road, around 30 cm. Slow worms is not snakes but lizards with no legs and can drop their tails to escape predators. They can reach a length of 40+ cm.

Habitat:

On a road close to mixed forest and grassland.
