Red Shield Bug

Description:

These red shield bugs were found on the underside of a leaf. They were about 3/4 of an inch long and were bright red with a yellow stripe down the centre of their backs.

Habitat:

These shield bugs were found in low to ground in the secondary rainforest of Singapore American School on the underside of a leaf.

Notes:

These bugs get their food from drinking sap from plants.
