Costus sp.
An unidentified Costus sp. Costus Linnaeus 1753, is a group of perennial herbaceous plants in the family Costaceae, often characterized and distinguished from relatives such as Zingiber (true ginger) by their spiraling stems, hence the name Spiral Gingers.
Found in a hot spring resort area in Calamba, Laguna. Distribution: They are native to tropical climates of Asia, Africa, Central America, and South America. Several species are frequently found in cultivation.
