Description:

A benthic and burrowing species of eel that grows to around 120 cm in lenght

Habitat:

Lives over soft bottoms of inshore waters of tropical waters of Indo Pacific Ocean. Feeds on cephalopodes, crustaceans and small fishes. Solitary in sand, often with head protruding from the sand.
