Carpenter and Sugar Ants

Description:

Big ant, approximately 0.75 inches. Rather wide body. Very aggressive. ant would stand up on hind legs, abdomen tucked beneath and challenge my approach. Small wood chips can been seen on the floor. One hole is in the wood.

Habitat:

Tropical rain forest.
