Stick Insect, Phasmid - Male

Hoploclonia gecko

Description:

Male Phasmid of the species Hoploclonia gecko. He has spines running on the side of thorax to top of abdomen with a red stripe running on top of his abdomen.

Habitat:

Tropical forest, endemic to Borneo

Notes:

Didn't get good shots of this one as it was raining and the guide was calling out to me with excitement that he has found what I have been wanting to see - Microhyla nepenthicola!
