Bright red fruit. Round and smooth, the shape of a flower. About 2 cm. The leaves: The leaf margins have a ciliate edge. The leaf shape is ovate. The leaf arrangement is subopposite.
The red fruit was the only one on the whole tree at that time. I think it was the only one left. I have learned that you can eat the fruit. People say the taste ranges from sweet to sour. The fruit is high in Vitamin C and is a flavoring and base for jams and jellies.
