African Tulip Tree

Description:

The African Tulip Tree has flowers. The filament sticks out of the middle of the flower. The leaves are oval shaped with slight points at the end. The length of the leaves from the tallest point is 15 cm. The length of the leaves from the widest point is 7 1/2 cm. The leaf venation is netted pinnate. The leaf arrangement is opposite. The texture of the leaf is smooth and soft. The bark texture is rough and bumpy. The root system was Buttresses.

Habitat:

The African Tulip Tree was found in the middle parts of the SAS rainforest. It was more shaded and there was only limited amounts of sunlight.

Notes:

The African Tulip Tree is tall and thin. It has a faded brown color. There is fungus growing on the trees bark.
