Description:

Gets its name from it's dark timber, bark, and walnuts. Common weed tree found along roadsides, fields, and forest edges in the eastern US. They range in height from 70-150 feet tall. It's bark is used for homes, barns, and fences. Contains compound leaves meaning the leaves have leaflets. The walnuts are eaten by squirrels, and stored underground which are sometimes forgotten and plants a new tree.
