Blatchley Walkingstick

Manomera blatchleyi

Description:

A fairly large stick insect at around 5 inches. Slow moving to avoid giving up its amazing camouflage, however, can move fairly quickly when that cover is blown. Small insects are its food source.

Habitat:

Woodland habitat on medium sized shrubs.

Notes:

These amazing, gentle insects just always make me smile. I'm so amazed that if I look away for even a careless moment, I can lose sight of them so quickly! One of the best camouflages out there!
