Mountain Katydid

Acripeza reticulata

Notes:

No katydids were harmed in the making of these photos! We saw this large male while walking in Carnarvon Gorge National Park and my husband picked him up so he would display his brightly-coloured abdomen for us. (The females look quite different and have brighter colours... we saw one once many years ago and I was SURE we took a photo, but I have never been able to find it again!)
