Psammodynastes pulverulentus
Saw several of this Common Mock Viper - Psammodynastes pulverulentus, its the most common Snake at the Park.
Tropical rainforest.
Thanks, @maplemoth662 :)
Photo No. 1: is a beautiful photo, with beautiful colors....
Maybe that's why they are prolific as it seems to be the most common snake there!
Wow, that's kind of a unique adaptation for a snake. They usually have such symmetrical markings.
I think they are variable in colours and markings, saw several of them, and they are a bit different with each other in term of colour and markings.
Do they all have the random dark scales? I wonder if this one tangled with a predator but escaped. Or is there something else going on? Maybe the next molt will help.
