Black Bear

Description:

The Black bear oddly enough, isn't always black. Their color can range from blond, cinnamon, or light brown to dark chocolate brown or to jet black. The average mass of black bears is about 140 pounds to 260 pounds. Black bears usually live in Heavily forested areas, so they often share their environment with squirrels, birds and other forest creatures. Black bears have mutualism with berries. The bear gets food, while spreading the seeds for the plant. Bears use sexual reproduction and usually have five cubs at a time.

Habitat:

Black Bears are primarily found in forested areas and their diet mostly consists of grasses, roots, berries, and insects, but also eat fish and smaller mammals.
