Northern Leopard Frog

Lithobates pipiens

Habitat:

Marshy backwaters of the Mississippi River at the Princeton Wildlife Management Area.

Notes:

Once the temperatures came up, these little guys were hopping across the path all the way back to the car. I imagine they felt quite liberated from their winter chambers.

I was quite surprised as well Logan! Seems so early. I'll put all of these under the Iowa mission. I'm a bit rusty:)
