Slimy Salamander

Description:

Black salamander with green flecks, one inch long.

Habitat:

Found in damp soil under brush at the edge of woods.

Notes:

Adorable, docile little guy found in central North Carolina. Returned him to his original location.

Looks like there are few different species within the glutinosus complex. I've never done any herping in NC so I'm not sure which exact species. But this kind of covers your options.
I love slimy salamanders! They're so cute :).
