Spring Peeper

Description:

Small tan frog with reddish-brown markings on the back.This one was female and was quite plump.

Habitat:

Forest edge along the rear of my yard with a few scattered pines, plenty of leaf litter and some container ponds landscaped with native plants.

Notes:

This is the first year I have attracted Spring peepers to my yard. I was hoping they were there to breed and to my great pleasure, last night I confirmed that! While I was photographing the calling male, I heard a rustling in the leaves, I looked over to find this plump little female. Here is the male: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/210...
