Daddy Long Legs

Pholcidae

Description:

This large female has her egg sac prepared with the smaller male visible below here. he is most likely dead after mating with here several times. Interestingly enough these spiders jaws are unable to penetrate human skin and so are harmless. This had led to much speculation that they are in farct very toxic but cant harm humans because they are unable to bite. There is currently no evidence to support this.

Notes:

Most often in quite corners of the home and outside facilities.
