Short-winged Heath Grasshopper

Rhitzala modesta

Description:

This sand-coloured grasshopper was about 25 mm long. This grasshopper was resting on the lower branches of a bush and was well camouflaged in a background of pale dried leaves. It had minute dark spots all over. Wings were short.

Habitat:

Spotted on a prickly acacia in a nature reserve

Notes:
