Rosemary beetle

Chrysolina americana

Description:

Shiny beetle. Elytra with metallic green and purple/red longitudinal stripes.

Habitat:

Usually on the lavender bush, but this bush was uprooted, so the beetles were spread out in the garden.

Notes:

I noticed these beetles for the first time a few years ago on the lavender bush. Since then, I would see them from april-october.
