Nice find! The color pattern and those snazzy face stripes are a closer match to the Chinese Mantis, Tenodera sinensis. Mantis religiosa does not have facial stripes and also sports a spot on the inside of the front legs. Compare here: http://bugguide.net/node/view/22947
