Spotting

Description:

Very small skull, antlers have basal "buttons", found on my farm in central new mexico. Farm is a private wildlife refuge and on the Rio Grande river. Home to many deer and elk, borders the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge operated by the Fish and Wlidlife service.

Habitat:

Immediate area is irrigated farm, surround by desert and mountains.

It's such a small skull! I would guess deer, but would need to compare it to some books I have. I'll look into this. Please consider adding this to the Identifying Animals Through Osteology Mission: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8475...
