Yellow Palm Warbler

S. p. hypochrysea

Description:

Brownish-olive upper parts and thoroughly yellow underparts with bold rufous breast and flank streaking.

Habitat:

Open coniferous bogs, seen while on the far trail at John Heinz Wildlife Refuge.

Notes:

From far away it appeared to be a sparrow at first, then when he turned and faced me I definitely realized that he wasn't a sparrow. This is my first actual Warbler.
