Thanks! I will take a look. It certainly makes sense as he was near a small creek and marshy area.

Hi Hope, what an interesting looking fly! After doing a bit of searching, I think I may have narrowed this guy down to Genus Dictya, Marsh Flies. http://bugguide.net/node/view/35923

Take a look. I am not familiar with these guys but they are really neat looking. I love the dark wings with the light dots.
