Great Blue Heron

Description:

Large heron. Nesting season. Long legs and neck. Mostly shades of light blue grey of back and tail to darker colors one wing edges. Neck is grey and white. Head is white with side stripe of a darker color that feathers extend out. Yellow bill and dark legs.

Habitat:

Mostly found near water where it feeds, such as marshes and lakes where they can wade in or stand over the water.
