Tiny, tiny, bright red/orange mushroom type structure on top of a very long thin red stem, rising from ground & leaf litter after much needed soaking rain. Assistance with ID welcome as I am still checking.
Found in leaf litter after rain in dry woodland Eucalypt forest in north east NSW.

Thanks gully.moy. I'm not confident with fungi ID (as a wrong ID can have terrible consequences!). It does seem slightly different from what I have been shown it should be. The colour doesn't appear as intense in the photo as it was in real life, which made it an incredible tiny thing to see amongst the browns & greys of the bush floor, & the gloss was also intense.
There are many little orange Galerina species with similar looking dome-shaped striated caps. I don't know of any so bright though

I don't think it's a Hygrocybe.
Thanks MacC! Also to David Leviston - I'm not positive with ID but the one shown in Jason Alexander's collection looks similar with similar ID suggestion made by you David?
Nice one KD
It's a good suggestion thanks for taking the time to look at it for me DavidL, much appreciated. I'm still not sure as I have not found an image that exactly fits this one (if you know of one please let me know) - the stalk is almost hair-like thin & holds the cap, which is less than half a centimetre in diameter, quite high above the ground (about 5cm, close to 2 inches). I haven't seen any bigger than this so assume it may be as big as it gets? The photo doesn't do it justice, it is quite deep rich orange red in colour top & underside of cap & a darker crimson stalk.
May I suggest Hydrocybe miniata?
