Description:

Big blackish waterfowl. Long, curved bill. Zoom in on them and they have beautiful irradescent feathers.

Habitat:

Little marsh where water runs off a wheat field.

Notes:

Dont know what the birds in the background are either!

Thanks JenKnight, I live about 200 yards from this marsh! Just have to be careful wading through the wheat, rattlesnakes are out!

The closest birds are White-faced Ibis, next row back is the Black-necked Stilts, behind that is a bird from the family recurvostridae, the American Avocet in lovely alternative plumage!
